Thursday 8 July 2010: first Athletissima meet under the « IAAF Diamond League » label!

As of this year, Athletissima is part of the new « IAAF Diamond League », which gathers the 14 best meets of the world.

To highlight this important step, we have decided to change our visual identity; among other things, we have created a new, dynamic and eye-catching poster. We also took this opportunity to modernize our emblem, the multicolored runner, in order to make him more easily identifiable.

To realize his project, Hervé Guillerey, a designer based in Lausanne (www.redisdead.com), followed 3 easy guidelines:

• the movement that goes with athletics
• the athletes and athletics
• the colors of the city of Lausanne, the capital of Olympism.

You may now judge the result !

As always, this year’s meet will gather the world’s finest athletes once again on Thursday 8 July at the Pontaise. His majesty Usain Bolt will compete in the 200m!

Make sure you put this date in your agenda! Ticket sales will start on Monday 12 April 2010.

• Friday 18 June: gala lunch for Athletissima partners and donators
• Sunday 4 July: mini-stars relay in the gardens of the Olympic Museum
• Wednesday 7 July: youth training (clinic) at the Olympic stadium
